Terms of use

These terms apply to the CheckAI website and to all checks, accounts and subscriptions. By using the service or buying from us, you accept them.
1. The service
CheckAI asks public AI assistants the kind of questions customers ask and shows which businesses the answers name, along with suggestions for what you can check or improve. The answers come from third parties (OpenAI, Google, Microsoft), change constantly and can be wrong or incomplete. A check is a snapshot. We guarantee neither particular results nor that your business will be named in future. Our suggestions are pointers, not legal, marketing or investment advice.
2. Your account
An account needs a valid email address; you sign in with a link sent to it. Keep access to your mailbox secure, because anyone with it can sign in. An account belongs to one person or business. You can delete it at any time under Account, which also ends any running subscriptions.
3. Free check
Free checks are limited per day and include fewer questions than paid checks. A free trial already started runs until it ends after 14 days and doesn't renew automatically. We may change or end free offers at any time.
4. Prices and payment
The prices and features shown at purchase apply, in CHF, EUR or USD. We are not registered for VAT, so no VAT is charged on top. You pay in advance through our payment provider Stripe, using the payment methods offered there; we never see or store card details. Receipts and invoices are sent by email and are available under Account. For payment methods that confirm later (such as direct debit), the purchase is unlocked once the payment is confirmed.
5. Subscriptions and cancellation
Subscriptions (Starter, Pro, extra questions, daily checks) run monthly or yearly and renew for the same period until you cancel. You can cancel at any time under Account; the subscription ends at the end of the paid period and you keep access until then. Add-ons end with the subscription they belong to. If a renewal payment fails, we retry several times and let you know by email; if it still isn't paid, the subscription ends. We announce price changes by email at least 30 days in advance; they apply from the next period, and you can cancel before then.
6. Single Check and refunds
A Single Check is paid once and stays in your account until you start it. Periods already paid and checks already started are generally not refunded. If a check fails for technical reasons on our side, we run it again or credit it back. If something isn't right, write to us and we'll find a fair solution. Mandatory consumer rights are not affected.
7. Your data and reports
The details about your business and your questions remain yours. You may use your reports freely, internally and with your clients, including as PDF. If you share a report link, anyone with the link can see that report. How we handle personal data is described in the privacy policy.
8. Acceptable use
Only check businesses you're entitled to check or that are publicly known. Not allowed: automated queries outside the API, getting around limits or blocks, multiple accounts to use free offers, reselling the service without our written consent, and any use that breaks the law or infringes others' rights. If these terms are broken, we may stop checks and suspend the account; amounts already paid are then not refunded.
9. API and webhooks
API access and webhooks come with the plans that include them. API keys are confidential; you're responsible for how they're used and can revoke them at any time. The limits in the API documentation apply. We may block keys that are misused.
10. Availability and changes
We run CheckAI with care but can't guarantee uninterrupted availability. Maintenance, outages at third parties or changes to the assistants we ask can delay checks. If an assistant disappears or changes fundamentally, we may replace or remove it. We keep developing the service and may change features, as long as the core of what you paid for remains.
11. Trademarks and independence
ChatGPT and OpenAI are trademarks of OpenAI. Google, Gemini, Google AI Mode and Google Trends are trademarks of Google LLC. Microsoft, Copilot and Bing are trademarks of Microsoft Corporation. Other product and company names mentioned may be trademarks of their owners. CheckAI is an independent service. We are not affiliated with, endorsed or sponsored by these companies, and we name their products only to describe which services we query. The answers shown are generated by those services; we reproduce them as returned and do not adopt them as our own statements.
12. Liability
We're liable only for intent and gross negligence, as far as the law allows. We're not liable for decisions you make based on a report, for content produced by the AI assistants, or for indirect damage or lost profit. Where we are liable, liability is limited to the amounts you paid us in the last twelve months. Mandatory statutory liability is not affected.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We tell account holders about material changes by email at least 30 days in advance. If you keep using the service afterwards, the new terms apply; if you don't agree, you can cancel before then.
14. Law and jurisdiction
Swiss law applies, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. The place of jurisdiction is the provider's registered office. Consumers keep the mandatory jurisdiction and protections of their country of residence.
