Names as the assistants wrote them, grouped when they meant the same business. One run per question: answers change from run to run, so treat this as a snapshot. We are not affiliated with any business listed and don't rank or endorse them. How we measure
What the answers show about yoga studios in Seattle
Our data On October 14 we asked ChatGPT, Google AI Mode, Gemini and Microsoft Copilot six questions someone in Seattle might ask when looking for a yoga studio. All 24 answers came back, and together they named only 39 different studios and places. 16 of those were named once, and 10 were named by all four assistants. For a local trade, that is an unusually concentrated picture.
shefayoga was named in 12 of 24 answers, including every one of Google AI Mode's 6. The Grinning Yogi and Urban Yoga Spa followed with 11 each; Urban Yoga Spa came up in 5 of Copilot's answers. Halea Yoga and Hauteyoga Queen Anne were named in 8 each, but differently: Halea Yoga only by ChatGPT and Google AI Mode, Hauteyoga Queen Anne twice by each of the four. This is one run per question, so read the counts as a snapshot, not a ranking.
For Seattle studios, the answers in this run repeatedly included the same group of names. Sixteen of the 39 names appeared once.
The CorePower question
Asked for alternatives to CorePower Yoga, all four assistants named CorePower Yoga first and then listed other studios. Urban Yoga Spa, shefayoga and Hauteyoga Queen Anne appeared in all four of those answers, and Breathe Hot Yoga, The SweatBox Yoga and TruFusion in three.
Questions with a specific need
The question about heated beginner classes included hot yoga studios such as Sealevel Hot Yoga, Breathe Hot Yoga and SOL Yoga. For a drop-in class open today, Google AI Mode listed 10 names, and Copilot included the downtown YMCA.
Google AI Mode answered with Google Maps places
Our data 5 of Google AI Mode's 6 answers came as Google Maps places, 29 in total. They averaged 4.75 stars, 82% had 4.5 stars or more, the median number of reviews was 134, and the studio with the fewest had 24. That does not show that reviews are the reason a studio was shown, only what the studios in these answers had in common.
Which websites the answers cite for yoga studios
Our data ChatGPT attached source links to all 6 of its answers, Copilot to 5, Google AI Mode to 3 and Gemini to none. The most-cited website was seattleyoganews.com, a local yoga site, in 8 of 24 answers. classpass.com and yogaseattle.com followed with 5 each, seekseattle.com and the studio site sealevelhotyoga.com with 4, and yogaconnect.com, urbanyogaspa.com and trustanalytica.org with 3. seattle.gov, reddit.com and bestinhood.com were cited twice each.
The cited sources included local yoga and city guide sites, a booking platform and studios' own websites. For the question about the most affordable membership, ChatGPT cited nine sites, most of them studios' own pages, and Google AI Mode cited studio sites, a booking page and Instagram.
Where US yoga studios are usually listed (advice): Google Business Profile (it feeds Google Maps), Yelp, booking platforms such as ClassPass (cited here) and the scheduling app you use, for example Mindbody, local yoga and city guide sites, and the Yoga Alliance directory if you run a registered teacher training. Local guides choose their own picks; check how they select before you pay to be listed.

How students ask AI assistants about yoga studios in Seattle
Our six questions covered a studio for daily practice, heated beginner classes, the most affordable membership, experienced teachers and reviews, a drop-in class open today, and alternatives to CorePower Yoga. Students often add a style, a time or their situation. Questions worth testing, written the way people type them:
- "Yin yoga on Capitol Hill Seattle on Sunday evening"
- "Prenatal yoga class in Ballard"
- "Non-heated vinyasa class in West Seattle tonight"
- "Beginner yoga series in Fremont that starts this month"
- "Weekend yoga teacher training in Seattle"
Use your own neighborhood and the styles you really teach. Also test a version without a place, then compare the names it returns with the local version.
What a yoga studio can check to show up in AI answers
Advice: these checks are practical and most can be done in an afternoon. None of them can promise a mention; they make the facts about your studio easy to find and hard to get wrong.
- Put prices on your own site. Drop-in, class packs, monthly unlimited, intro offer for new students, as text. For the price question, studios' own pages were the main sources.
- Explain your styles. Which classes are heated and which are not, what vinyasa, yin or restorative mean at your studio, and which classes suit beginners. A heated beginner class is only findable if "heated" and "beginner" are written next to each other somewhere.
- Publish the schedule as text. Class times on a page that loads without the booking widget, plus how drop-in works and whether students need to book ahead. One question asked for a class open today.
- Keep booking platforms in sync. If you are on ClassPass or use Mindbody or a similar app, check that class names, prices and address there match your site and your Google Business Profile.
- Introduce your teachers. Names, training, years of teaching and what each one teaches. One question asked for the most experienced teachers.
- Write a page for newcomers. What to bring, mat and prop rental, showers, how early to arrive, accessibility. Beginners ask these questions before they book.
- Check the local yoga sites. Open seattleyoganews.com, yogaseattle.com, seekseattle.com and yogaconnect.com. Are you listed, with the right address, neighborhood and styles?
How to check whether ChatGPT names your yoga studio
Write five or six questions your students would ask, with Seattle or your neighborhood in them, and ask several assistants. Note who is named and which websites are cited, then repeat in a few weeks, because the answers change. CheckAI checks your own customer questions across the same four assistants and shows the names and cited websites for every answer; a first check on ChatGPT and Google AI Mode is free. Our guide on how to check if ChatGPT names your business walks through the manual version.
