Names as the assistants wrote them, grouped when they meant the same business. One run per question: answers change from run to run, so treat this as a snapshot. We are not affiliated with any business listed and don't rank or endorse them. How we measure

What the answers show about movers in Denver

Our data On October 14 we asked ChatGPT, Google AI Mode, Gemini and Microsoft Copilot six questions a customer in Denver might ask about moving companies. All 24 answers came back. Together they named 47 different movers, 26 of them only once, and 3 were named by all four assistants.

Local Moving LLC was named in 15 of 24 answers, 5 of them from Google AI Mode. The Other Side Moving was named in 13 answers and Moving Brothers in 10, both from all four assistants. Movemasters (9 answers) and Fischer Van Lines (7) came next, but each from fewer assistants: Gemini did not name Movemasters in this run, and Fischer Van Lines appeared only in Gemini and Copilot answers.

For a moving company outside this group, the answers left limited room. Most answers named between three and seven movers, and in many of them two or three of the slots went to the same names. The assistants also differed in how many they named: Copilot listed 43 names across its 6 answers, ChatGPT 23.

The Two Men and a Truck question named Two Men and a Truck

The question about alternatives to Two Men and a Truck in Denver is the one a local mover would hope to appear in. ChatGPT, Google AI Mode and Gemini all named Two Men and a Truck first, then mostly the familiar Denver names: The Other Side Moving, Local Moving LLC, Movemasters, Moving Brothers. Copilot's answer looked different: it named a set of other moving brands and only one name, EZ Moving, that also appeared elsewhere in the run.

Not every name was a moving company

Some answers mixed in other kinds of help. In the question about the most affordable mover, Gemini named PODS and U-Haul, which rent containers and trucks for moving yourself. Bellhop (4 answers) and Lugg, which book moving help through an app, and Craters & Freighters Denver, a crating and shipping service, appeared too. A customer asking about price or speed may be shown these alongside full-service movers.

Google AI Mode answered with Google Maps places

Our data All 6 of Google AI Mode's answers came as Google Maps places: 28 movers in total. They averaged 4.9 stars, every one had 4.5 stars or more, and the median number of reviews was 711. The mover with the fewest reviews had 38. That does not show that reviews are the reason a mover was shown, but it describes what these places had in common: high ratings and, for half of them, 711 reviews or more.

All counts come from one run per question on October 14. Read them as a snapshot, not a ranking; a name in an answer is a mention, not necessarily a recommendation.

Which websites the answers cite for moving companies

Our data ChatGPT and Copilot attached source links to all 6 of their answers, Google AI Mode and Gemini to 2 each. The most-cited website was consumeraffairs.com (7 of 24 answers), followed by freightwaves.com (6), movebuddha.com and localmovers.com (5 each), expertise.com (4), and forbes.com, thumbtack.com, reddit.com and legacymovingdenver.com (3 each).

Most of these are sites that review or compare movers. Moving companies' own sites were cited too, such as legacymovingdenver.com, localmovingllc.com and movingbrothers.net. In the reputation question, Google AI Mode cited 11 different websites in one answer, including a Denver TV station's site (denver7.com), Yelp, Facebook, Reddit and Quora.

For a mover, that means the names in these answers come from moving review and comparison sites, business media, community discussions, Google's own Maps listings and, in some cases, the movers' own pages.

Where US movers are usually listed and reviewed (advice): Google Business Profile (it feeds Google Maps), Yelp, the Better Business Bureau, Angi and Thumbtack, plus moving-specific review and comparison sites such as the ones cited above. Interstate movers are also registered with the federal motor carrier agency (FMCSA), and customers can look them up by USDOT number.

How customers ask AI assistants about movers in Denver

Our six questions covered a local residential move, a specialty (delicate antique furniture), price, reputation, short notice and alternatives to a national brand. In the short-notice question, Moving Brothers appeared in all four answers, while Gemini and Copilot put Bellhop first. For antiques, Gemini and Copilot put Fischer Van Lines first, and three assistants named Movemasters.

Real customers ask with more detail: the home, the distance, the date, the awkward items. Questions worth testing, written the way people type them:

  • "Movers for a 2-bedroom apartment in Capitol Hill Denver, third floor, no elevator"
  • "Who can move a baby grand piano from Denver to a house in Evergreen?"
  • "Cheapest movers from Denver to Colorado Springs for a one-bedroom"
  • "Movers in Aurora who can do a move this weekend"
  • "Office movers in Denver for a 20-person office, moving on a Saturday"

Use your own areas, the moves you want more of and the details customers mention. A question with no place in it can return movers in another state.

What a moving company can check to show up in AI answers

Advice: these checks are practical and most take a day or less. None of them can promise a mention; they make the facts about your company easier to find and harder to get wrong.

  1. Explain how pricing works. Hourly rate by crew size and truck, minimum hours, travel fee, packing materials, and how you give estimates (in home, video walkthrough, or by inventory list). A clear "how we price" page is easier to describe than "call for a free quote".
  2. Put your registration and coverage in text. USDOT number if you have one, any state registration, insurance and the valuation coverage you offer. Customers comparing movers look for these, and they belong on the page, not only in a footer badge.
  3. Give each kind of move its own page. Local, long distance, apartments, offices, pianos and antiques, packing, storage, labor only. One of our questions asked about delicate antiques; a page that says how you wrap, crate and insure them answers it directly.
  4. Say how soon you can move people. Do you take same-week or weekend moves? Is the end of the month booked out? One of our six questions asked exactly this, so say plainly what you can offer.
  5. List your service area. Denver neighborhoods and suburbs you cover (for example Capitol Hill, Highlands, Aurora, Lakewood, Littleton), and whether you do mountain moves, on a service area page and in your Google Business Profile.
  6. Check the review sites that were cited. Open ConsumerAffairs, MoveBuddha, localmovers.com and the expertise.com list for Denver movers. Are you listed? Are your name, phone and services right?
  7. Ask for a review after every move. The Maps places in this run had a median of 711 reviews. A steady habit of asking, and replying to reviews where it helps, keeps your profile current for people comparing movers.

How to check whether ChatGPT names your moving company

Write five or six questions your customers would ask, with Denver or your area in them, and ask several assistants the same questions. Note who is named and which websites are cited, then repeat in a few weeks, because the answers change. CheckAI checks your own customer questions across the same four assistants and shows the names and the cited websites for each answer; a first check on ChatGPT and Google AI Mode is free. Our guide on how to check if ChatGPT names your business walks through the manual version.

Questions

Which movers does ChatGPT recommend in Denver?
In our October 14 run, the four assistants gave 47 different names in 24 answers, 26 of them only once. Local Moving LLC was named most often, in 15 of 24 answers. One run per question, so a snapshot, not a ranking.
Do reviews matter for ChatGPT naming a mover in Denver?
We can't say how each assistant weighs reviews. What we saw: the 28 movers Google AI Mode showed from Google Maps averaged 4.9 stars, all had 4.5 or more, and the median was 711 reviews, with at least 38 each. As advice, asking every customer for a review after the move is worth doing, as people choosing a mover read them closely.
Which websites do AI assistants cite for moving companies?
In our Denver answers, mostly moving review and comparison sites: consumeraffairs.com was cited in 7 of 24 answers, freightwaves.com in 6, movebuddha.com and localmovers.com in 5 each. Your own results may differ by question.
Can a small Denver mover be named next to the big names?
In this run, 44 movers shared the space left by the three most-named ones, and 26 of them appeared once. It happens, but not consistently, so test the specific questions where you are a good fit, such as short notice or delicate items.
How can I check whether ChatGPT names my moving company?
Ask the questions your customers ask, with Denver or your area written in, to several assistants, and repeat them over a few weeks. CheckAI does this with your own questions across four assistants; a first check on ChatGPT and Google AI Mode is free.
